Hiring a professional newborn photographer is the most important decision you will make when it comes to your session. You don't want just anyone handling your precious new life. You want someone who knows how to pose your baby safely and someone who has lots of experience doing so.
Ask your potential photographer if they are insured. Also ask them what kind of safety classes they have taken. Or if they have had the whooping cough vaccine. You can never ask too many questions.

The earlier you book your newborn session, the better due to the fact that we only accepts 4 babies per month.
We really like the older babies between 12 and 18 days, however Kim will do the session when mommy and daddy are ready. She doesn't mind doing them at 5 to 10 days old but the older the baby, the better. The jaundice is gone, mommas milk has come in and baby is just more settled.

You will receive a mommy letter and a questionnaire before your scheduled session so you will be reminded of what you need to bring.
We ask that you bring a bottle if you are breastfeeding. This is not a must, just a suggestion to make your session go smoother. We also ask that you bring a pacifier even if you do not intend to use one. Your baby will need soothing some time or another during your session. We will not use one if you insist that we not but it will be very helpful.
If you would like to incorporate something sentimental, you may bring that as well.
We will have all the diapers and baby wipes so please don't worry about that :)

The best action plan for siblings is to have someone bring them at the end of your newborn sessions as that is when we do parent and family shots. If you would prefer to do family shots first, just let us know. If you don't have anyone to do this, it's no problem. We just ask that you help entertain them as we will all be in the same area while doing your newborn session. Loud noises will startle your baby out of their poses.

Babies have just spent 9 months in a warm, comfy space. They love the warmth and coziness. Trust us when we say, the heater is important. Just wait and see how comfortable they are!
